Before we called Ganesh Himal Trekking due to we always face Mt Ganesh Himal 7422m. But lately, local people put Ruby valley because of Ruby is crystal people found a source of mines.

Chalish VillageRuby Valley Trekking or Ganesh Himal Trek through picturesque villages and unspoiled areas of the country leads us to Singla pass (4045m) and Pangsang pass (3850m) where mountain views are superb.  The trail then descends through beautiful pine forests and villages and we arrive at Sertung and onto the village of Chalishgaon. It is a very beautiful and typical cultural Gurung village. The trail then heads up to the black & white lakes at the base of Ganesh Himal. It is truly unique and an extra gift by God as well as a natural hot spring between Chalishgaon and Hindung. It is situated in a remote area where there are few villages. Chalishgaon to the natural hot spring takes a couple of hours.

The area mainly people are living Tamang, secondly Gurung then others. the Gurung and Tamang are rich in their cultures, customs, and origin of Buddhism but now slowly changing other religions. They have own dress, language, custom and they are very friendly warm hospitality.

Where to start and how about transportation of Ruby valley trek?

Kathmandu to Shyabrubesi by a vehicle as local jeep, private jeep, or local bus. then, starts beautiful trekking along with Gatlang village, high pass of Pangsang vanjyang 3850m, visit Gurung community village of Chalish gaon and many Tamang villages, natural hot spring near Chalish village. Trek ends in Jharlang village catch local vehicles by jeep or bus to Kathmandu. It is 7/8 days walking perfect itinerary.

The area people’s main occupation is farming cultivating a place where people grow lots of crops and they provide organic local foods and they have well managed local homestay. They have neat and clean rooms. They have very warm hospitality and they warmly welcome to tourists. There are not big and well-managed lodges but every camp village has nice homestay and you need to accept their warm welcome. Stay with the family home and accept their organic meals.

Ruby Valley Trek is one of the high passes of Pangsang pass 3850m and there will be most of the time cooling weather so you need to prepare as warm enough clothing’s and gears as big jacket as a down jacket, warm enough fleece, warm paint & inner, warm hat, gloves, warm enough sucks, warm trouser or trekking pants, some quick-dry trekking t-short, half paint, warm enough negative sleeping bag, comfortable trekking boot, headlight, sandal, 2-liter water bottle, sun cream, sunglasses, day pack comfort bag, camera and charger as two-pin, towel, Toiletries’, etc.

Carry your important medicine:

Natural Hot Spring in Chalish VillageMedicine is very important if you have any ailment you must carry the medicine with you. That “prevention is better than cure” mountain region we can’t find any healthcare, clinic, and hospital if there is the clinic you may not get according to your problems medicine. So that; I humble request please prepare if you are continually taking any medicine please bring with you or buy in Kathmandu. It is very important but our company will provide something first aid kid bag normally as a headache, fever, stomach problem as diarrhea, cough & cold some bandage, tape & Diamox for high altitude sickness, etc.

Details Itinerary

Itinerary Details of Ruby Valley Trek:

Day 01: Arrive at Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu and a representative of Unique Nepal Adventure Trek will welcome and transfer you to your selected hotel by private vehicle.

Day 02: Kathmandu to Syabru Besi (1460m) by bus (7 hrs) stays overnight at nice Lodge.

Day 03: Trek to Gatlang (2700m) walking (7 hrs) stay overnight at nice Lodge.

Day 04: Trek to Somdang (3270m) via the Khurpudanda Pass (3710m) walking (6/7 hrs) stay overnight at nice Lodge.

Day 05: Trek to Tipling (2500m) via the Pangsang Bhanjyang Pass (3850m) stay overnight at a comfortable Homestay with the local village.

Day 06: Trek to Chalish gaon (1950m) stay overnight at the comfortable family home as a homestay.

Day 07: Rest day in Chalish gaon. A typical ethnic Gurung village and there is a natural hot spring about an hour and 20 minutes from here. Back to the same village and stay overnight at the same camp homestay and villager will come to show cultural program by (Mother Groups) Gurung culture.

Day 08: Trek to Jharlang (1360m) walking (7 hrs) stay overnight at a comfortable homestay.

Day 09: Catch Local Jeep or Private Jeep then back to Kathmandu driving (7 hrs) stay overnight at selected hotel in Kathmandu.

Day 10: Departure Day, A representative of Unique Nepal Adventure Trek will drop you off at Tribhuvan International Airport by private vehicle.
